Triund Rejoice TrekINR3599INR2849Triund is a nippy and arresting trek, situated around 18km away from Dharamsala. This trek is followed at the side of well defined forests deeply swallowed by the breathtaking view of Kangra Valley. You can see the snow birds and wild animals like musk deer and black bear. Once you reach the top of Triund you will find yourself standing in front of the mighty and humble looking Dhauladhar. One can see the gorgeous layers of hills housing small villages spread below in the vast stretch of Kangra valley. On the heights of Triund Hill, the temple of Shri Kunal Pathri Devi is located. The temple is possibly the highest point of Triund and from here one can have wide and full view of Triund Hill itself and of Kangra Valley. Besides Dharamsala and wide horizons, Dhauladhar Mountain is closest to feel from here.
The trek starts from the town of McLeodganj and covers a steep way up to Triund. The route to Triund takes you around rhododendron and oak trees, which definitely refreshes the journey. The town of McLeodganj (also known as little Lhasa) provides for a grand opportunity to experience the vibrant Tibetan culture. The trekking scene here is well-organised and one can go aboard on multiple treks of longer duration here, namely Indrahar Pass, Minkiani Pass, Kareri Lake and all the way to Kuarsi Pass and Mani-Mahesh. If you have a day to spare, fancy trekking from Triund till Lahesh Cave can be prepared too.True1447268316
